• What's New - 2026-04-13

    This week's feature is one that is actually launching next month when the Pro subscription tier is unlocked, but if a Community is created before that launches and wants it, it can be turned on for them.

    #Features

    #iCal synchronization

    A lot of teams, organizations, groups, other event platforms have a calendar someone can subscribe to. There are a couple competing standards out there, but iCal is one that is supported almost universally.

    With this change, you can configure an iCal URL on an Organization, then overnight, every night, the system grabs the feed and adds, updates or deletes events from it.

    This isn't entirely fire-and-forget as Organizations will want to update the created Events with their poster / flyer.

    #Marketing

    #Guerrilla Marketing for Community Events: A Toolkit for the Budget-Conscious

    We published Guerrilla Marketing for Community Events: A Toolkit for the Budget-Conscious which reminds people that marketing doesn't need to be super expensive.

    #This Week

    If everything goes as planned, this is what is being worked on this week;

    • calendar subscriptions for those who don't want email (which was released 2 weeks ago) but want to know about things
    • update the editor for nicer layouts of Events
